As part of upcoming nationwide research initiatives, AER is now recruiting motivated and qualified Field Enumerators to join its roster for projects to be conducted in Addis Ababa and multiple regional locations during the remaining months of 2017 and into 2018 (E.C.).

📌 Position: Field Enumerators

(For Quantitative & Qualitative Research Projects)

🎓 Qualifications:

• MA/MSc degree in any discipline (social sciences preferred).
• Proficiency in English and Amharic is required.
• Knowledge of other Ethiopian local languages is an added advantage.
• Prior field research/enumerator experience is preferred.
• A recommendation letter or reference is required.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct household and firm surveys in both urban and rural settings.
• Facilitate Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
• Translate and transcribe interviews based on the language used.
• Translate research instruments into Amharic and other local languages.
• Uphold ethical standards and ensure data accuracy and quality.

📍 Duty Stations:

• Addis Ababa
• Various Regions across Ethiopia (urban & rural sites)
