Position: Senior IT System Auditor

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Job Purpose

The Senior IT System Auditor will lead and conduct information technology audits to ensure the reliability, integrity, and security of the bank’s digital systems. The role ensures compliance with internal controls, risk management policies, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute IT audits for core banking systems, databases, networks, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Evaluate IT general controls (ITGC) and application controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
• Review API governance, access controls, encryption, and security for open banking and third-party fintech integrations.
• Conduct audits of digital banking, mobile apps, and payment platforms to identify vulnerabilities.
• Assess technology-related risks and verify the effectiveness of existing mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with operational and financial auditors in integrated audit assignments.
• Develop comprehensive audit reports with clear findings, risks, and recommendations for improvement.

Qualification and Experience

• BSc or MSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in IT auditing, cybersecurity, or information systems control.
• Proven understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Strong knowledge of banking systems, API integration, cybersecurity, and digital finance environments.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
