The Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Association (CCRDA) is a long-established national umbrella organization in Ethiopia that brings together more than 460 local and international NGOs. Since its founding in 1973, CCRDA has worked to strengthen civil society, promote social justice, and enhance the effectiveness of member organizations through collaboration and capacity building.

CCRDA plays a key role in supporting sustainable development efforts across various sectors, including health, education, agriculture, gender equality, environment, and humanitarian response.


Position Summary

CCRDA is seeking a qualified and dynamic Content Development and Communication Officer to join its team in Addis Ababa.

The position involves creating, managing, and sharing high-quality content that communicates CCRDA’s work and values to its members, partners, and the wider public. The officer will also support internal and external communication efforts, including social marketing, information dissemination, and documentation of organizational achievements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, collect, and compile information relevant to CCRDA’s programs and member activities.
  • Develop and manage content for internal and external communication channels.
  • Support media and public relations efforts, including press releases and event coverage.
  • Produce reports, newsletters, success stories, and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
  • Support digital communication strategies, including website and social media content.
  • Assist with documentation and knowledge management activities.
  • Contribute to awareness and advocacy initiatives led by the organization.

Qualification and Experience

Education:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Literature, Journalism, Foreign Languages, Communications, or other related social sciences.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in content creation, communication, or public relations.
  • Prior experience in the NGO or development sector is an advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and present information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with digital communication platforms.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask under pressure.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • Upholds integrity, accountability, and confidentiality in all professional dealings.
