About Humedica e.V.
Humedica e.V. is a German-based international NGO that has been operating in Ethiopia since 2010 and re-registered as a foreign charity on July 8, 2019 (Registry No. 1605). Currently, Humedica is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern to support housing renovation projects for beneficiaries under the Family Sponsorship and Community Development Project.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in supervising construction and renovation works on-site daily.

Support the preparation of BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for housing renovation projects.

Ensure adherence to Humedica e.V. requirements and standards.

Assist in preparing technical specifications and cost estimates.

Support site inspections to assess housing conditions and renovation progress.
-
Document renovation needs, progress, and completion status.
-
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and beneficiaries during renovation activities.

Prepare material take-off and verify payment certifications.
-
Ensure quality standards are met in project documentation.

Assist in timely delivery of project outputs.

Contribute to the preparation of site progress reports (including images and videos).

Qualifications and Requirements
Education:

BSc Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
