Planate Management Group (PMG) is hiring a Construction Manager Observer to join its growing team in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia.

Planate is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida, with global technical support centers in Southeast Asia and East Africa. PMG provides program management, facilities engineering, planning, design, infrastructure management, and construction management services worldwide in support of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), military services (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps), and other U.S. federal agencies.

Position: Construction Manager Observer

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily construction activities and track project progress.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.
• Identify, report, and escalate construction issues, risks, and delays.
• Review and document project milestones, work schedules, and contractor performance.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve site-related challenges.
• Provide accurate and timely updates to project management teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in construction supervision, project monitoring, or project management.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
