The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) invites qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the following job positions.

1. Associate Human Rights Officer

Qualifications:

  • LLB or LLM in Law, Human Rights Law, or International Law
  • 0 years of experience for LLM holders
  • 2 years of relevant experience for LLB holders or participation in EHRC’s Young Leaders Internship Program (6–12 months)
  • Computer literacy required
  • Proficiency in Amharic and English; knowledge of additional local languages is an advantage

Salary: ETB 17,750 – 20,567 (plus ETB 8,640 housing and ETB 3,300 transport allowance)
Location: Semera City Office, Jigjiga City Office


2. Program Assistant

Qualifications:

  • BA Degree or Level 4 Diploma in Management, Administration, Secretarial Science, or related fields
  • 2 years of experience with a BA degree or 4 years with a diploma
  • Experience in event management, travel, and logistics preferred
  • Computer literate and fluent in Amharic; other local languages are a plus

Salary: ETB 9,667 – 10,806 (plus ETB 4,320 housing and ETB 3,300 transport allowance)
Location: Head Office, Addis Ababa


3. Human Rights Resource Center Officer

Qualifications:

  • BA/MA in Library Science, Information Management, or Knowledge Management
  • 4 years of relevant experience (BA) or 2 years (MA) in resource center management or documentation
  • Proficient in cataloguing, digital resource systems, and research tools
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills

4. Human Rights Officer – Needs Assessment and Evaluation

Qualifications:

  • LLB or LLM in Law, Human Rights Law, or International Law
  • 4 years (LLB) or 2 years (LLM) relevant experience
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Fluency in Amharic required; other languages advantageous

5. Human Rights Officer – Curriculum Design & Material Production

Qualifications:

  • LLB or LLM in Law, Human Rights Law, or International Law

7. HR Officer – Talent Acquisition

Qualifications:

  • BA Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or related fields
  • Minimum 6 years of HR experience
  • Proven skills in recruitment and onboarding
  • HRIS software experience preferred
  • Fluency in Amharic and English; knowledge of other local languages is advantageous
