Job Purpose

To support school feeding monitoring activities in Semera and surrounding areas, ensuring high-quality data collection and reporting. The role contributes to effective programme implementation and delivery of food assistance to vulnerable communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the implementation of school feeding programmes at sub-office and field level.
• Prepare monthly field mission reports documenting programme progress.
• Support partner capacity-building activities.
• Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders on programme implementation, logistics, and distribution.
• Consolidate monitoring issues and ensure timely follow-up.
• Gather feedback from government counterparts and schools to improve services.
• Provide schools with guidance on WFP monitoring tools and operational practices.
• Participate in missions, assessments, surveys, and donor visits.
• Report on food management and other programme-related issues.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• Secondary school certificate required.
• Post-secondary certification in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Agriculture, Nutrition, or related fields is an advantage.

Experience:

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation, or programme implementation.
• Humanitarian or development experience preferred.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Understanding of WFP’s programme and monitoring standards.
• Ability to apply qualitative and quantitative methodologies in data collection and reporting.
• Skills in data analysis and visualization.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Languages:

• Fluency in English and Afarigna (oral and written).
