💼 Position Summary – Host/Hostess

As a Host/Hostess at Marriott Addis Ababa, you will be the first point of contact for guests arriving at our restaurant or dining area.
Your friendly demeanor, professionalism, and attention to detail will help create a welcoming and comfortable environment that reflects Marriott’s world-class standards of hospitality.

🌟 Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
• Determine the number of guests and assign seating based on availability.
• Escort guests to tables, provide menus, and ensure they are comfortably seated.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of dining areas throughout service hours.
• Monitor dining room activity for seating availability and service flow.
• Assist in arranging tables and seating for groups with special needs.
• Ensure menus are clean, current, and well-presented at all times.
• Follow all company safety, hygiene, and security standards.
• Support the service team with guest requests and coordination.
• Uphold Marriott’s professional appearance and communication standards.

🎓 Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: No prior experience required (training provided).
• Supervisory Experience: None required.
• License/Certification: Not required.

💪 Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, or move for extended periods.
• Able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
