About the Role
The Learning and Adaptation Specialist will drive strategic learning and adaptive management across CBM’s global initiatives. This position ensures that evidence-based insights inform programmatic and strategic decisions, fostering inclusive, data-driven change.
The specialist will design and facilitate reflective learning processes, develop knowledge-sharing platforms, and strengthen staff and partner capacity to capture, synthesize, and apply learning effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate organizational learning and adaptive management across initiatives and country offices.

Develop mechanisms to communicate right-sized data to decision-makers.

Strengthen staff and partner capacity through tools, workshops, and processes to apply learning effectively.

Lead cross-country learning via Pause & Reflect sessions, Global Learning Forums, peer exchanges, and the MERLA Community of Practice.

Develop and manage digital knowledge products (AI tools, visualizations, reports, newsletters, blogs).

Translate technical insights into clear narratives and storytelling to enhance learning uptake.

Support change management by integrating MERLA findings into fundraising and programmatic processes.

Develop metrics to measure the influence of learning on decision-making.

Represent CBM at conferences, meetings, and with partner networks.

Travel periodically to CBM country offices to facilitate learning and capacity building.
Required Qualifications
Education:
-
Master’s degree in Communications, Organizational Learning, International Development, Public Health, or Social Sciences.

First-level university degree plus 2 additional years of relevant experience may be accepted.
Experience:
-
Proven expertise in data-driven learning and strategic communications.

Experience convening in-person, virtual, and hybrid learning events.

Demonstrated ability to develop knowledge products and communication materials.

Experience in capacity strengthening, mentoring, and coaching.

Strong facilitation, project/event management, and organizational skills.

Familiarity with knowledge management systems and digital learning platforms.

Independent, agile, and collaborative working style.

Professional-level English proficiency; French or additional languages preferred.
