Project Coordinator Job Vacancy at EBCCF | August 2025

The Environment, Biodiversity and Climate Change Forum (EBCCF) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to advancing biodiversity management, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience in Ethiopia. EBCCF works with donors, government institutions, and strategic partners to implement impactful projects that drive sustainability.

EBCCF is looking for a highly qualified and experienced Project Coordinator to join its team in Addis Ababa.


🔹 Job Summary

The Project Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director.
This is a senior role responsible for technical and administrative coordination of project activities. The Project Coordinator ensures compliance with donor and government requirements, supports fundraising efforts, oversees project implementation, and contributes to EBCCF’s long-term sustainability.


🔹 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Director in developing proactive and innovative project initiatives.
  • Prepare project proposals to mobilize financial resources.
  • Develop manuals on relevant thematic activities to enhance sustainability.
  • Strengthen EBCCF’s role as a strategic partner with donors and implementers.
  • Undertake feasibility studies, fundraising, project design, appraisal, and donor negotiations.
  • Lead the preparation of quarterly, biannual, and annual activity & financial reports for donors, government, and internal use.
  • Conduct field visits to provide technical support, monitor progress, and add value to projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate project implementation against objectives.
  • Ensure budget utilization is aligned with Terms of Reference.
  • Review project annual work plans and budgets.
  • Take meeting minutes (staff and board meetings).
  • Perform other duties related to project management as assigned.

🔹 Job Requirements

  • Education: MSc in Agrobiodiversity & Seed Systems, Biodiversity Management, Crop Breeding, Climate Smart Agriculture, or other related fields with an Agronomy background.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong project planning, budgeting, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting skills.
    • Ability to work independently with a problem-solving mindset.
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
    • Excellent written and spoken English communication.
    • Proficiency in Excel for activity and budget tracking.
    • Ability to prepare PowerPoint presentations and deliver them to audiences.
    • Mature personality, results-oriented, time-conscious, and disciplined.
