The Joint Emergency Operation Program (JEOP) provides emergency food assistance to transitory food-insecure households and has integrated nutrition interventions since 2023. CRS leads a consortium with partners including CARE, GOAL, World Vision, Food for the Hungry, ORDA-Ethiopia, and REST to treat moderate (MAM) and severe acute malnutrition (SAM) through provision of therapeutic foods, screening, referral, and Social Behavior Change Communication (SBCC).
Job Summary
As a Project Officer – Nutrition, you will:

Monitor and report on all project activities within Oromiya woredas.

Ensure project implementation follows best practices and CRS quality standards.

Support technical guidance, capacity building, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
-
Coordinate and implement assigned project activities per detailed implementation plans and technical narrative documents.

Collect and monitor partner capacity and technical assistance needs.
-
Provide technical expertise for nutrition data management and ensure data quality.

Monitor service quality at health facilities, including screening, SAM treatment, referrals, and IYCF-E.

Provide on-the-job training to health workers and outreach staff.

Engage with Woreda Health Offices to identify training gaps and provide tools to improve protocols and counseling.

Conduct routine monitoring visits and report challenges to inform project adjustments.

Ensure availability and proper pre-positioning of therapeutic food supplies.

Collaborate with partners to collect and analyze data, maintain electronic records, and produce reports.

Develop new indicators and produce maps, charts, and infographics for nutrition data visualization.

Support senior project staff in producing accurate updates and reports.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
-
BSc in Health, Nutrition, or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Experience in project monitoring and data collection preferred.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
