Medical Teams International (MTI) is hiring a Protection Officer to support gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response programs in Metema, Ethiopia. The role involves training and supervising community social workers, managing case response activities, and ensuring effective coordination among protection and health partners.

Location: Aftit, Metema, with frequent field travel
Employment Type: Full-time | Mid-Level (3–5 years experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate GBV prevention, case management, and referral services.
• Deliver community awareness campaigns and protection training.
• Prepare and submit activity reports and documentation.
• Support safeguarding and compliance with MTI’s protection standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Gender Studies, or Public Health.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in GBV or humanitarian protection roles.
• Fluency in English and Amharic required; local language an advantage.
• Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
