💼 Position Overview – RAM Specialist
The Resource Acquisition and Management (RAM) Specialist plays a key role in supporting grant acquisition, donor relations, and portfolio management in both humanitarian and development contexts.
This position ensures that high-quality, integrated, and donor-compliant programs are designed, funded, and implemented to achieve meaningful and measurable results for children and communities.
You will be responsible for leading proposal development, donor engagement, partnership coordination, and knowledge management to strengthen World Vision Ethiopia’s competitive edge and funding portfolio.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
1. Resource Acquisition

Lead proposal development and donor engagement across assigned sectors and funding partners.

Conduct donor mapping, relationship management, and intelligence gathering for prepositioning.

Facilitate the design of high-quality project proposals (target: 15–20 per year) integrating gender, climate resilience, and HDP (Humanitarian–Development–Peacebuilding) Nexus principles.

Coordinate internal teams for concept note and budget preparation, ensuring donor compliance.

Lead proposal submission, award negotiation, and quality assurance processes.
2. Grant Management

Oversee an active grant portfolio (10–12 grants), ensuring compliance with donor rules and WV policies.

Manage award start-up, contract management, and donor reporting processes.

Support audits, evaluations, and donor reviews to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.

Maintain up-to-date donor records, reporting templates, and engagement trackers.
3. Documentation & Knowledge Management

Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories from projects.

Lead grant closeout and archiving processes.

Maintain grant tracking databases, MIS tools, and donor intelligence files.
4. Capacity Building

Deliver training and mentorship to internal staff and local partners on proposal writing, grant compliance, and HDP integration.

Support implementation of the Localization Roadmap to empower local organizations.
5. Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with technical, MEAL, communications, and partnership teams.

Ensure integration of safeguarding, conflict sensitivity, gender, and faith-based values in all project designs.
🎓 Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Project Management, Social Sciences, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in grant acquisition and management, preferably in an INGO.

Proven track record in winning and managing large grants from donors such as USAID, EU, UN, FCDO, or OCHA.

Strong knowledge of donor compliance and humanitarian standards.

Excellent proposal writing, budgeting, and donor communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, online donor portals, and project management tools.

Fluent in English and Amharic (both written and spoken).
Preferred

Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Certification in grant management, humanitarian standards, or project cycle management.
