Safaricom Ethiopia, jointly owned by an international consortium including Vodafone Group, Safaricom PLC, Vodacom Group, Sumitomo Corporation, and British International Investment (BII), is recruiting highly skilled professionals for multiple technical positions in Addis Ababa.

Position 1: Cyber Security Architect

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related technical field, or equivalent experience with certifications.
• Proven experience in:
  • Network security
  • Endpoint security
  • Cloud security and hybrid environments
  • Security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT)
• Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CCNP-Security, CCIE Security, NSE4, NSE6

Location: Addis Ababa

Position 2: Senior Cyber Security Architect

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• Required cybersecurity certifications: CISM, Azure Security Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CISA, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP-ISSAP, CCNA, NSE-4, NSE-6
• Experience in:
  • Network and endpoint security
  • Cloud security and hybrid environments
  • Security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT
  • Basic system administration and OS hardening techniques
• Preferred additional certifications: CISSP, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CCNP-Security, CCIE Security, NSE4, NSE6

Location: Addis Ababa

Position 3: Specialist – Radio Access Network (RAN) Configuration & Support

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of senior-level experience in RAN Configuration or L2/L3 Support.
• Strong team management and leadership skills in technical environments.
• Practical knowledge of radio planning and network management tools: Atoll, EMS, UME, MySQL, NetAct, Advanced Excel, Erlang-B.
• Relevant technical certificate or degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or at least 5 years of experience in RAN configuration or network change management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Excel; strong analytical skills.
• Problem-solving, customer-focused, organized, and proactive.
• Awareness of business impact of configuration errors, including outages and SLA management.
