Internship Overview
The Communications Intern will support the Regional Programme for Africa, which focuses on resilience-building, inclusive growth, sustainable development, and strengthening governance across the continent. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates passionate about communications, media, and digital engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Draft and edit content for internal and external communications.

Create social media visuals, videos, and engaging digital content.

Support photo/video editing and digital campaign production.

Maintain a content calendar and schedule posts across platforms.

Track and analyze social media engagement metrics.

Update and maintain websites, toolkits, and communication materials.

Assist with media monitoring, press briefings, and events.

Contribute creative ideas for storytelling and outreach.
Competencies & Skills

Strong communication, writing, and editing skills.

Knowledge of social media, graphic design, and multimedia production.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong teamwork, creativity, and cultural awareness.
Education & Requirements

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, International Relations, or related Social Sciences.

No prior professional experience required.

Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.

Availability for a 4-month full-time internship.
