1. Position: Corporate Services Officer (Property and IT)

Agency: Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT)

Reports to: Property and Security Manager
Employment Type: Ongoing, Full-Time
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Salary: ETB 48,702 per month (gross) + Medical Insurance Program

Role Purpose

The Corporate Services Officer supports the management of property, IT systems, and general administrative services within the Embassy. The role ensures effective operations, maintenance of facilities, and IT functionality in compliance with DFAT standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with proven experience in administration, property management, or IT support.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in Amharic required (additional local languages advantageous).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently or within a small team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and databases).
  • Knowledge of Local Area Networking (LAN) and property management practices in Ethiopia is desirable.
  • Proven ability to communicate professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with SAP software or similar enterprise systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and digital record management.

2. Position: Property and Security Manager

Reports to: Senior Administrative Officer (SAO) and Post Security Officer (PSO)
Employment Type: Ongoing, Full-Time
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Salary: ETB 86,683 per month (gross) + Medical Insurance Program

Role Purpose

The Property and Security Manager oversees the management, maintenance, and safety of Embassy facilities. The role ensures effective security operations, adherence to Embassy standards, and efficient management of leases and contractors.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in property management, including maintenance, lease negotiations, or facilities supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage security systems and procedures in an Embassy or large organization.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with accounting-based software such as SAP is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and time management abilities.
  • Proven experience managing small teams and coordinating multiple priorities.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and problem-solving capability.
